It’s still six weeks to go, but preparations are under way. We bought the adequate maps and pilot books and with everything we read about sailing in Scotland, it seems like we are moving a little further out of our comfort zone. We upgraded Arielle with a hydro generator for energy and we bought some more 10L jerrycans for stocking up on fuel. And we dug out our unspeakably old oilskins… you never know. For protection against midge attacks we bought mesh mosquito nets for our heads and Avon Softskin Spray for the body. These were recommended to us by experienced Scotland travelers.
Don’t get us wrong… this is not our map for navigating😅…
Our enthusiasm for Scotland is unwavering. The more we learn about it, all the more eager we get to sail Scotland. This is in part owed to the blogs we read and the awesome YouTube videos we have seen, as there are those of Sailing free Spirit, Adventure Now and Tupaia
